These opinions are all mine, who's gonna stop me?
Formely of Blaseball. #TTRPG and #DigimonTCG guy. Dabbles in #GameDev of the physical and digital kind. Might make somet'ing of himself someday.

Sorry for the two folks who followed me for a take, have WarGreymon’s Big Meaty Thighs as an apology
I can confidently say this is the first time I’ve seen a mini replicate the action smear frames of a concept art

The original Let It Die was famous for its absolutely amazing soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka went and got in touch with a HUNDRED of his favourite indie bands and commissioned each to do a track named 'let it die'. The result was borderline mystical.

They're AI-generating the music here.

Fuck that.
The Let it Die sequel - Let it Die: Inferno - which is coming out next week (4th December), seems to have been built using a considerable amount of generative AI. https://bit.ly/4ol7lIA

The fact that companies are out here claiming that autocomplete and decision trees are the same as GenAI is so wild and totally the behavior of folks who actually believe this GenAI thing they're pushing so hard is popular and normal, actually.

The subset of TTRPG players who do not want to think that they’re playing a game at any point whatsoever are so strange to me, like it’s fine dawg your big ass can’t even fit in a locker anymore, just enjoy the complicated board game we’re playing together

”They be trucking 2B out into crossovers like a birthday stripper“ hits so much worse after learning every project Yoko Taro’s worked on since Automata has been canceled before it got off the ground.

Maggie: "Was there some kinda incredibly corny wizard drug in Harry Potter or am I thinking of Riverdale?"

Me: "No, Harry Potter would've been far more interesting if it had Jingle Jangle"

There should be more games inspired by avant-garde stage design.

Long time no see! I’ll be open for contract work again mid-december, so if you’ve got dramatic environments that need painting or pitch decks that need art or really any old (visual) thing I could be YOUR gal 🫵 ameliaherman.artstation.com

One of the things I always loved about stuff like Fallen London is that, in theory, every character has a form of contractual immortality. Basically with few exceptions, any significant damage and or murder is reversed after a trip to Death's chess table.

At what point do I finally cave and just start blogging all my game thoughts instead of vomiting on bsky (not today) (haven't reached the point yet)

I could be working on this script I'm supposed to be writing to automate blah blah blahs and something or others but what if I just spent the next few hours scrolling github and cobbling together a MU* engine in my head instead?

I had two pitches post Blaseball: One was Most Deadliest Gameshow and the other was Crime City, which seemed to be a pitch like four other people also had in some form or another.

We REALLY should've went with Crime City, man.

In practice, the best open table RPG would actually be something like a Blades in the Dark: Drop-in and drop out stories of gangs doing crimes at the behest of large factions to move the needle slightly in a city none of them can actually escape.

I'm reading about #Over/Under and it basically proves that the people want MUDs, they want MUSHs, they need that grimey text based RPG life to come back and we gotta find a way to deliver it to them

In Blazblue, the character Platinum the Trinity has a jab where they do either rock, paper or scissors

This makes no difference in almost all situations EXCEPT when they are fighting another Platinum. If they both jab each other at the same time, the "winner" gets the hit

Between this new Resin printer and my dedication to learning how to sculpt and model in 2026, maybe I can finally quit my job and start the real money maker: making ludicriously horny minis and selling them on Etsy

Malls as dungeons? Old hat.

The new hotness? Convention centers as dungeons.

Just look at that hellish floorplan. Now imagine it packed wall to wall with people. Also, maybe a dragon in Exhibit hall F? Awful.
