#withoutNSF I would have stopped with math after high school AP calculus. An NSF funded curriculum project gave my undergrad advisor the resources he needed to attract students like me to STEM majors. I’m anon here but my PhD, every publication and every student are all NSF broader impacts.

Sigh. The entire problem here is thinking about people as having a “demand” for friends. They aren’t toys, you don’t buy them.
