Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.

Let’s do some math:

Trump needs Democratic votes to fund the government…
+
Trump refuses to negotiate with Democratic leaders to get those votes…

A TRUMP SHUTDOWN.

Striking stat from @kellycnbc.bsky.social on this:

The rise in treasury yields since Trump’s tariffs were announced leads to an increase in US debt interest payments that is larger than all the DOGE savings.

We've reached the point where Republicans are flying to El Salvador to visit one of the most vicious prisons in the world to have photo ops so they can prove their loyalty to the President of the United States.

The Supreme Court will soon issue a decision in the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man whom the Trump admin admits it deported due to “administrative error.”

The ruling will be a make-or-break moment, not just for Abrego Garcia, but for what kind of country we are going to be.
Trump refuses to bring back those wrongly detained in El Salvador. You could be next.
Will the Supreme Court allow permanent disappearances?

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

The fight for our democracy is not coming. It is here.

When I say that we have months, not a year, to save democracy, I'm talking about this coordinated, relentless legal assault on political dissent.

1/ Let me explain a few elements of Trump's plan: www.nytimes.com/2025/03/19/u...
With Orders, Investigations and Innuendo, Trump and G.O.P. Aim to Cripple the Left
The president and his allies in Congress are targeting the financial, digital and legal machinery that powers the Democratic Party and much of the progressive political world.
