I condemn Donald Trump's unauthorized military strikes and regime change in Venezuela.

The Trump administration launched a large scale military attack on a sovereign nation and kidnapped its sitting president, without Congressional approval and without consideration of any of the consequences their illegal actions may bring.

Today, New York City takes its bold first step into a New Era, guided by the moral leadership of Mayor Mamdani and built upon the promise of a better future for all five boroughs.

Happy New Year, New Yorkers!

While we know that 2025 was not without its difficulties for many of our neighbors, and while we expect 2026 to carry its share of hardships, I am certain the better year our communities deserve is waiting just over the horizon.

But we must be willing to fight for it.

From my family to yours, wishing you a most happy Christmas!

I pray you and your loved ones know only peace, prosperity, and good tidings in this holiday season.

No human being deserves to suffer the despicable, heart-wrenching conditions we witnessed behind the veil of Donald Trump’s deportation machine.

Unlike our migrant neighbors, Delaney Hall and the rest of ICE’s for-profit detention centers will never have a place in this country.

Shut them down.

Today, @replamonica.bsky.social, @menendez.house.gov, and I toured the Delaney Hall detention facility following the death of Haitian migrant Jean Wilson Brutus while in ICE custody, amid mounting reports of inhumane conditions and systemic abuse.

For those surprised by this disturbing news, remember that criminality just comes naturally to this administration. They break the law like the rest of us breathe and are always eager for another chance to act like crooks.
DOJ won’t meet Friday deadline to release all the Epstein files
The delay means the White House is in apparent conflict with a law President Donald Trump signed in November.

More than 20 million Americans are staring down the barrel of skyrocketing healthcare costs in the new year.

Instead of holding a vote to extend the ACA tax credits and stop this crisis in its tracks, Speaker Johnson chose to shut Congress down early and go home.

How cruel is that?

While the tragedy at Bondi Beach weighs heavily on our minds and hearts, I pray our Jewish neighbors know only a happy and peaceful first night of Hanukkah.

May this Festival of Lights bring them joy at a time when it is most needed.

Jewish families deserve to feel safe and be safe in every corner of our world.

My heart goes out to the victims of the devastating terrorist attack in Sydney, and the entire Jewish community in this moment of terrible grief.

Antisemitism and hate are evils upon our world — they must be defeated.

My prayers are with the Brown University community, tonight.

Americans should not have to accept this horrible, heartbreaking violence as an inevitability in their nation.

Gun violence exists only because those in power allow it to. When will they wake up and end the tragedies?

If Congress’ goal is truly to protect kids online, the best way to do so is through a federal data-privacy standard that prioritizes their safety today and can adapt to the technologies of tomorrow.

This version of KOSA doesn't come close to meeting the mark.

Heads up, Brooklynites! The deadline to apply for an internship in my District Office is a week away – make sure to get your application in by December 15th to be considered for these truly transformative positions.

Team Clarke looks forward to hearing from you!

On Trump’s orders, DHS has condemned countless of our migrant neighbors to horrific detention centers where they've suffered abuse, faced vile conditions, and even lost their lives.

I joined @jayapal.house.gov's shadow hearing yesterday, because these atrocities cannot remain hidden in the dark.
December 5, 2025 at 11:40 PM
No matter how many masked thugs Donald Trump sics on our immigrant neighbors or how desperately he tries to dehumanize their families, New York City and communities like it are going to stay sanctuaries to the oppressed and the powerless.

Our Somali-American neighbors have only ever made this nation stronger, more decent, and more whole. They will always have a home in our communities and our country.

I don’t care if Trump or any other bitter old bigot says differently – they’re all wrong, and so is the disgusting hate they preach.
Trump goes on another racist rant about Somalis: "Ilhan Omar should be thrown the hell out of our country, and most of those people -- they have destroyed Minnesota. It's a hellhole right now. Those Somalians should be out of here. They have destroyed out country ... go back to your own country."

Until Congress addresses the dire threat of algorithmic bias, Americans will continue to rely on their states to protect them from the many potential harms of unregulated AI and its unrestrained Big Tech masters.
December 3, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Our committee has had at least 5 hearings over 5 years on the many threats to kids online.

How long do we have to keep restating the obvious?

It’s past time to stop talking and start acting.

THE Dr. Una S.T. Clarke is many things to many people: a trailblazer, a bold visionary, a true servant of the people – the list goes on. She’s all that to me, as well. But most importantly, she’s also my mom. Please join me in wishing her a very happy 91st birthday!

I love you, mom! Happy birthday!

It was on this day 70 years ago that Rosa Parks’ courageous and historic refusal to surrender her seat on a segregated city bus paved the way to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, redirecting the course of our nation and establishing her as one of our nation’s most transformative heroes.

My heart breaks for the two national guardsmen who were wounded in our nation’s capital, today.

As we continue to receive updates on this terrible tragedy, please join me in praying for them and their loved ones in the aftermath of this senseless, horrific act of violence.

For more than 104 years, Viola Fletcher lived without ever receiving justice for the crimes committed against her and her community during the Tulsa Race Massacre.

May the shame of that failure forever stain our nation.

And may Mrs. Fletcher rest in eternal power and paradise.

For decades, my hometown of Brooklyn has remained an iconic travel destination, with internationally recognized landmarks and imagery that evokes the music, culture, and art only found in our borough.

Our economic health depends truly upon the strength of our tourism industry.
