Lexember Day 5
(Not near my laptop to make lexicon screenies today)
Theme: "Something to cook with"

/ambɹaçðad/ "A reagent vessel for potioneering"

Originally this meant a type of large roast pot that you buried in the ground, but the meaning shifted.

Lexember Day 3

Today's theme is a "dish for eating", which led to a few new additions to the lexicon, to arrive at:

Thidmaro "unrisen seedbread"
Lit. "meadow bread"

There is also risen bread, and I have ideas for that (it's not quite our yeast culture method) but more on that later

Lexember Day 2
Theme: "a way to make food for eating"

This one goes all the way back to the ancient proto-language, propagating to all daughter languages including UrbaniLang:

Shüadsvaun "to boil"

Lexember Day 1 (a bit late)

Second time joining this, making a word for my conlang each day of December.
Today's theme: "a way to prepare food"

And I went a bit overboard with the worldbuilding, inventing a whole culinary tradition for my speakers of UrbaniLang (true name pending)

That took quite a turn. This game and its random rolls really generated the spy thriller :O

Wondrous insight from my 4 year old:

Trees can't talk. Because trees are houses for squirrels and owls, and houses can't talk.

Checks out. No notes

This one lives in my brain to be remembered when it becomes very relevant

With considerable pride and anxiety I've just published my first rpg on itch - a cosy pbta engine game of post-war boarding school adventures inspired by Enid Blyton's Malory Towers & St Clares novels. It's PWYW so feel free to take a look!

I showed my (young) child a video of the Apollo 11 launch. Now she's decided the whole house is our rocket going to the moon. I am so pleased :D

But I have to also bite my tongue not to correct her on "misconceptions", shall we say

This looks like it could be promising. Love the idea of playing a cast of characters over the generations
