I think simplest way to explain the tsunami of horrific takes on VZ from US - from the White House to some #antiimperialists (hashtag, not people who actually oppose Empires) to radlibs to MCM superfans - is simple:

recordé esas tardes de fin de semana cuando desde el balcón de mi casa en Caracas se veían varios papagayos 🪁 que subían desde el barrio que estaba más abajo. tenía como 10 años sin recordarlo y +20 desde la última vez que lo vi. lo escribo antes de que se me vuelva a olvidar.

dejé de ver TV tradicional un poco tarde, circa 2000. pero es lo mejor del mundo. ser ignorante de parte del zeitgeist tiene ventajas más allá de la pretensión de sentirse exclusivo; es agradecer a no dedicar atención ni tiempo a asuntos que no te interesan.
