The priorities of the Albanese Labor Government are deeply disturbing. Creating a secretive war economy

Throwing $AUDbillions /trillions on AUKUS and setting up US military bases across Australia a bottomless pity of secrecy and deception.

It is really, really wild seeing the Climate Change Authority reimagined as a cheerleader for the Albanese government, only offering the very gentlest and mildest of critique once a year.

The CCA should be fully independent, and be focused entirely on holding the government to account
Kath Rowley, who below guides staff on how to downplay gas emissions, has just been appointed CEO of the Climate Change Authority, the body providing 'independent' advice to govt

Safe appointment for a govt wanting fossil fuel expansion to remain at home in our climate institutions.

Independent media has a future when young authors have opportunity, support, mentoring, and resources to share their fresh perspectives and inventive solutions freely and fearlessly. P&I supports young writers. Can you help? #auspol #fundraising
Nurturing the next generation of voices
One of the things that sets P&I apart is the seniority and deep experience of many of our authors. And that will not change, facts and historical understanding of issues are essential if we are to tackle the huge issues confronting us all. But the other essential element is fresh thinking and the kind of sparkling hope and action that young Australians bring to the table.

The boy who cried antisemitism
For two years, we’ve been told Australia is drowning in antisemitism. Every protest for Palestinian human rights, every mural, every chant criticising Israel has been hauled up as “evidence.”

Labors support for net zero hasn’t stopped them supporting new coal or gas or from spending billions on fossil fuel subsidies

@crikey.com.au gone to the trouble of listing by state -
NSW followed by QLD then WA the most corrupt historically.

But they should also have been listed by date to see if our Pollies have become more or less corrupt!
