This is perhaps our best path forward. But don't forget the other part, which is to remember who voted for this systematized cruelty, and remove them from power as soon as possible. Make America Kind Again, because our greatness lies in how we treat the vulnerable.
If you are not sure what to do, start by taking a break from the news.
Then look at how you and your community will be affected and help in the ways that you can.
Small actions make a big difference.
Let's give our time and attention to the people being hurt, not the people hurting others.
