It feels like every few days as well. Only no, its just the same update I told you to install already! Argh!
Dear MacBook.

Thank you for asking me to download a new update while I'm working for the 3rd time this week despite me asking you to update it at night, yet refusing to do so.

I love the anxiety you give me knowing you'll randomly start trying to do the update mid work project.

This has to be one of the better written (and angry) privacy policies for an app I've seen. Also a little eyeopening for what the company who once claimed they didn't want to be evil have become...

All week I spend my time trying to make sense of complex systems and turn them into some kind of order (fun coding). So then the weekend I spend time looking at complex systems and trying to make them build the silly parts I need for phase 4 in #satisfactory. This is entirely normal and fine yes?

I miss when their motto was "Don't be evil". I guess they really have thrown that one away

Today in software engineering fun times I have fun geospatial issues. If I have two .tif files, how can I tell if they're the same for a check in a build? I can load them into qgis and use my eyes, but that's not really going to work in an automated way! #qgis #geospatial #githubactions

Still love these - they were a part of my PhD research with navigation in virtual worlds and always make me smile when I see them. People just will go where they want to go

Time for some Thomas the tank engine fanfic. I have no idea what to expect! Trains and rollerskating maybe? #starlightexpress

The most important of #Christmas decorations are out!

It is done! 280 bulbs planted and protected from squirrels and cats. The next pile say "Autumn or Spring" so they are very definitely for planting in spring. There's another 100 or so there to go!

Today has been a day of doodling while thinking or in meetings. It has also been the day of trying to figure out the ocho cortado. The doodling went better!

Other people: buying Christmas gifts... pretty shiny things...
Me: I still have bulbs to plant. Argh.
