My friends sold their gite and headed back to Ireland, but this is the side of it closest to the Railway station. It looks fancier on the 'back' door side on the other street.

The friends I was staying with- their property went right through onto the street behind- and that back entrance was quite significant- they had to satisfy all sorts of requirements when they were doing it all up.

I remember having to disprove that to the boys in my high school physics and chemistry classes in the mid-70s. It did come as a surprise to them.

I was camping in a tent at a place in South Dunedin. Wind was whistling through. Getting out to go to the toilet was torturous. My friend from Mosgiel rescued me. We are talking late December.

Only once in the previous Solar Cycle (some 13 years ago) did I capture the #Aurora in the due east sky off the Otago coast. but certainly not with dusk still glowing in the south (right) and certainly not this colourful.

ruh-roh, 'you can't park there sir', the Aurora building it's outer edges is NOT meant to be happening in the ENE sky - absolutely no point taking a timelapse, this thing is too big.
