My nephew is dyslexic and his high school offers an alternative learning track for students like him.
My sister called the school yesterday to confirm she'd like him enrolled in that programme and was told it might not be available next year because the new curriculum doesn't include it. 😱😱

Whenever NZers have an option to say publicly that they don't believe in what this government is doing to Māori, there are more on the side of right than the side of wrong
- more people voted for Māori wards than against them
- more schools decided to give effect to Te Tiriti than did not

If poverty is the main driver of crime, why don’t we financially support the families who see crime as the only way up? There is NO UP.
It’s all just life.
YOU can create it.

If we were all born equal, why aren’t we equipped with the ability to understand every single language on earth at birth?

Maybe we were, and the powers of the day just keep erasing them?

This is borderline criminal when the result is critical harm to kiwi lives & in some cases even causing death.
Literally it’s putting “profit” over the lives of millions of kiwi citizens. 🤬 #nzpol #OneTermGovernment

“In 2023, a $10 million government grant was earmarked to develop a renewable energy system.”

The NZ Labour Party must provide hope to, and inspire, a generation of people.

If the policy options it will finalise at this weekend’s conference don’t do that, don’t provide a radical alternative and sense of optimism, people will continue to leave Aotearoa in droves.
Captures the mood of much of the country under this government - bleak, with a sense that everything is broken, that there is no opportunity for young people to get ahead, and that the government simply doesn't care.
