China hatte zuvor diesen Schritt der Niederlande gefordert. Die Regierung in Den Haag hatte Ende September überraschend bei dem niederländischen Chip-Hersteller eingegriffen.

The EU, UK and Ukraine need to check every dependency on the US in Ukraine's defence - military, intelligence, economic, tech - to see where they have the ability to say no to US pressure.
I fear the answers will not be pretty, but important.

Like I said: this is the end of the EU as we know it. Sad, yet inevitable.
Some still argue that EU27 should unite. But they will not, especially as some MS want to hollow out #EU from within.
Consequently, willing & able must progress, even if they will have to do so outside EU framework. This is already difficult & will require lots of political courage & leadership.
