How can this be justified?

I've been watching Prisoner 951 on BBC iPlayer, and this sounds just like all of the Revolutionary Guard trials, tbh.

Thank goodness there are plans to leave the ECHR, or we might be called to account!

Bluesky hive mind, solve this!

• Last sleep seizure
14 Jan 24

• Last 2 awake seizures
21 Sep 23 & 5 Mar

Answer Q14:
'If both awake & sleep seizures, please tell us the date of the first sleep seizure after the last awake seizure:'

(A friend asked, and I couldn't!)

Here's a quick reminder of what Johnson was actually doing during those weeks

The politically and commercially manufactured ‘problem’ of immigration is boring and repetitive across the centuries. The question is why do many people still fall for it? The real effort is not in seeding the propaganda but in keeping the public opinion ground receptive and fertile to it.

Is there a Home Secretary who, since 2005, *hasn’t* “introduced” safe return reviews for refugees? Other than Grant Shapps, who only had a few hours. Re-announcing an old, existing and totally pointless policy is very, very tired.

• stage 3+ Ca lung: 37.3 cf 20.6

• metastatic melanoma: 26.7 cf ≤ 40

• biggest benefits in pts expected to resist immunotherapy

• no such benefit from other (eg flu/pneumonia) vax types

As a historian of the 18th c and an American, I've always known 2026 would be a critical moment. This doc is worth watching, and thinking through. Begins and ends w Indigenous contexts, conveys the horrors of a civil war wrought w racism + the ideals of liberty and equality we keep reaching for. 1/
_The American Revolution_ offers a look at how complex and violent — and also inspiring— the American founding was. Getting huge coverage, it may give folks time to digest that complexity as 2026 commences. Premieres tonight + PBS has preview clips of all episodes. www.pbs.org/show/the-ame...

At what point will Labour politicians, locally and nationally, really start to push back against the endless underfunding of local authorities?

We know what damage this does, and how it will verberate into our futures.

How is there not louder, insistent opposition to this?

1. Yes they are.
2. Not the whole message, obviously.
3. In the garage, mainly.
4. No, it wouldn’t be practical. Sorry.
5. Purely random.

Refugees & asylum seekers are largely a vulnerable, traumatised & disadvantaged group of people so to keep demonising & scapegoating them for political gain is disgusting & despicable. The end doesn’t justify this punching down means & in any case the end here seems to be the propaganda itself.
