The pentose phosphate pathway controls oxidative protein folding and prevents ferroptosis in chondrocytes
Nature Metabolism - Loopmans et al. show that the pentose phosphate pathway in chondrocytes provides reducing power to ensure proteostasis necessary for bone lengthening.
