This does a good job of touching on a feeling I have had for awhile:
For all the complaints people have about the game awards not being more artistically inclined, I think the people who complain about this are largely hypocritical because if they wanted better it is out there.

This might be one of the dumbest conspiracy theories out there, how would you even hide something that recent. Photography was prominent and even video was becoming widespread.
If you're not familiar, it's the theory that around 1900 (125 years ago) there was a great "mudflood" that buried the old world, and neo-classical buildings are actually just the tops of ancient buildings from this previous civilization buried under all the mud.

Just an incredible quote. The kind of thing a person says who has no ability to actually appreciate art and can only understand the world through the lens of everything being a transaction.

One thing we are not talking about enough is how many of the reasons that large companies have been able to see the continual growth they have are coming to an end and that none of them seem to have plans for what to do when growth is no longer possible. Talking things like:

The inverse relationship between phone screen resolution increasing and app icons becoming painfully simplistic is plain sad.
In 2025 we should be swinging back the other way and making icons and logos more complex.

Prate Yakuza is a pretty funny game, a bit more story and character depth would be nice but having a musical opening credits makes it a must play.

Prate Yakuza is a pretty funny game, a bit more story and character depth would be nice but having a musical opening credits makes it a must play.
Someone needs to come up with a pithy Torment Nexus equivalent for when people imply they think vigilante justice super heroes will act in better ways than when heroes are under government oversight so I have something to reply to them with.

One thing I see talked about somewhat frequently is how shifting from forums to places like Discord has ruined search-ability for communities, but a similar issue I rarely see talked about is how webcomics moving from personal websites to social media has ruined their readability.
