I want to like beets. I really do. But if they continue to taste like a musty basement, I will continue to dislike them.

Also, don't forget to vote.

Why did I use three different emails to subscribe to Substacks? I don't know. But after weeks of being completely overwhelmed with emails from the ones I was double or triple subscribed to and not being able to find the one I wanted to look at, I finally took the time to consolidate. Go me.

Yup. This is the time to use our privilege.

This administration is fascist at every level, the MAGA movement is an explicitly fascist ideology, and I am proud to follow the long American tradition of being anti-fascist and anti-tyrant.

You want to come after antifa? I’m right here.
Please, if you have the privilege of not being an obvious and immediate target for state violence...

Call them fascists, loudly, ESPECIALLY right now.

Call yourself an antifascist, loudly, ESPECIALLY right now.

We all need to be Spartacus on this one.

Sharing for no reason at all......but also, I might have been Roman in a past life.
This is the truest thing I have ever seen. You cannot imagine how much the Romans would have lost their minds for excel. They literally already started writing our historical chronicles in synchronized columns *by hand*

The author of this article wrote transphobic shit and now seems surprised that some people were upset about it. 🧵1/5

We will never be a monarchy. Know that. To quote the LOTR trilogy: Gondor has no king. Gondor needs no king.

We're DRM-free, meaning you actually own your audiobooks. You can download the files whenever, & listen to them wherever.

I know, I know...not ebooks. But still 😉

Because, of course, letting AI decide people’s livelihoods seems like a great idea.

Sorry to leave you all on a cliffhanger, I crumbled under the pressure and didn't pick a book. I've only been reading the news and TikTok captions for the last month. Oh and emails. So. Many. Emails.
Welp, gotta pick my first book of 2025. No pressure. Just going to set the whole tone for the year is all.

Make the switch to Libro.fm from Audible ❤️ We might not have a space ship or fancy ads with celebrities critiquing listening speeds, but we do support independent bookshops (and in our opinion, that's way better).

Our current health care system is not designed to provide quality care to all people.

It is designed to make huge profits for insurance & drug companies.

In that sense, the system is working very well.

But it is not working for the average American.

We need Medicare for All.

The tree known for its classic holiday image is a Fir (Abies spp). This aromatic evergreen holds up well even when dry, making it a perfect station for your favorite decor. The tree’s name derives from the Latin “to rise”, distinguishing the great heights Fir can achieve.
