Rosa, our little Orbea Katu cargo bike, has done 5000km! That's 5000km of shopping, vet visits and errands done on a cleaner, kinder, friendlier mode of transport than a car.

I wasn't allowed to have anything to do with Hallowe'en as a child, and as an evangelical adult, I had a very particular worldview, which didn't do me or those around me many favours. The last decade or so has seen significant deconstruction and faith shift for me. I am making up for lost time.

We've stayed with my parents en route to our half term Bristol trip, and my mother has packed us last night's leftovers for train snacks.

The OH and I are going by train (with bikes) from Sheffield to Bristol via Shrewsbury, then back to Sheffield. He collected the tickets today. There are 36. Ridiculous.

Last night, a group of us met at Higger Tor to celebrate a couple of big birthdays. Rangers came to investigate, because they thought our battery powered lantern was a fire. I don't think we were quite what they were expecting to find...they were certainly entertained!

The Bridge Club in cargo bike mode today. The crate is attached to the pizza rack with a Blue Lug X Strap, which works really well, and is easily removable when not needed.

In a change to our original holiday plans, we went to the Lake District via train and bus. We had a good time, even if no bikes were involved. We bought Kendal Mint Cake in Kendal, where they just call it Mint Cake.
