I can make bread. I'm even quite *good* at making bread. But this time I have created a monstrosity that will likely come alive tonight and eat next door's dog. Or a coral reef, like the crown of thorns starfish I was apparently channelling.

It did taste really good, though.

This beautiful view was just off the trail and necessitated creeping through some bushes. Quite sensibly, I held onto some branches, since it's kind of high.

Next time I'll make sure the tree I hold onto isn't completely dead and dessicated.

Yes, swearing was involved ...

I love things that just seem a little OFF. Incongruous.

Such as this tower, just slapped on the edge of an open air clothing market. It was the tape that got me.

Is it an unexpected tower?

Was it not there yesterday?

Might it bite if one ventures over the tape?

SO MANY QUESTIONS.

I will never get tired of catching the moon set over the hills first thing in the morning. This place is magic.

(Although would not complain about sleeping past moonset, if brain could take a rest for five minutes...)

Returning with the Important Things - ALL THE CARBS. #Pasta in the sun in #Italy last Saturday, because these are all good things. (As was the delicious but terrifyingly hot homemade chili sauce they served with it ...)

Two things about this photo:

1. I adore that someone has set up a little seating area just slap in the road. The house has a garden, and balconies, but... this is a good use for a road. (There's a table and two chairs, too)

2. How is it already this dark at 6.30am? I did not approve this!

This book is all of this, plus well-written and properly snort-worthy. Read it!
I've been INFORMED by multiple sources over the past week that I've BURIED THE LEAD in our poster for OVERLONDON

This morning I fed the GARDEN TORTOISE some grapes, did some MIGHTY COGITATING (blank staring) over a cup of tea and REVISED (With some intermittent tortoise consultation.)

HUZZAH!

The wonderful @georgepenney.bsky.social asked me questions, and I attempted to answer without getting too sidetracked by octopuses in skirts and power-addled vegetables...

Yes, that is a giant chunk of goat's cheese wrapped in pastry, but it's on salad, so it's a health food. That's science*

*Not a scientist, but I'm pretty sure on this.

Please share your favourite health foods (by which I mean cheese. Please share cheese.)

So I hear this is the place for weird humour and friendly people, both of which make me happy. As do cats. And cake. Tea. That sort of thing

And here's a cat, just so I can start as I mean to go on.

(Disclaimer: this is neither my cat nor my hammock. Both are borrowed, but I love them anyway.)
