This is SUCH a great way to phrase this. In my town the rich people put their kids in private schools which allows them to dehumanize “public schools” which they will insult loudly, not realizing who they’re actually insulting (or harming with their votes.)
The stupidest thing wealthy people do is spend all of their money making sure they only ever see other wealthy people. Fucking rots their brains.

Everyone says that the whole point of pushing all the bad shit at once is to keep us overwhelmed, and therefore inactive. The problem is…it’s working and I am so overwhelmed that I don’t even know what I should be focusing on in terms of action. What’s everyone’s top priority? ITS ALL TOO MUCH.

USAID matters. I've often disagreed with their strategy and choices, but their work saves more lives than any philanthropy can. It's a rounding error in the federal budget, and one of the best things we do as a country. To see it destroyed overnight by one unelected man is an unmitigated horror.

The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds.
It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.

I really found the Klein "Don't Believe Him" episode reassuring when I listened to it this weekend. But I am starting to feel like it didn't consider Elon and his gamer team working *as* the government when doubting that Trump could do the things he was trying to do.
