Moving to a new town was scary and it can be lonely at times, but I spent the afternoon making zines and then the evening at a heart-warming gathering with an incredibly-welcoming group of queers, so happy solstice everyone ☀️🌙

NEW FROM ME -

Britain is abandoning international medical consensus on disability.

Every other developed nation recognizes cumulative impairment as genuine severity.

We're about to become an anomaly—and the logic of 4+ suggests it was deliberate.

In principle, I'm in favour of assisted dying.

But I can't see a way to legalise it that doesn't disproportionately harm disabled people while we live in an ableist, capitalist world.

Lovely (but muddy) walk from Barton to Beckley today with a tasty pub lunch in the middle. Thanks for the suggestion @apowelllaw.bsky.social 😁

I've received some raised eyebrows about visiting #Guernsey in January but the views are stunning and the weather is fantastic for walking - the only problem is that almost everywhere is shut for the off-season!
