I especially loved SGJ's words today about how horror can be just as timeless as other genres, and when he spoke about how whenever he makes his voice heard it's a form of resistance because, as a Blackfeet Native American, he's "not supposed to exist anymore" but he's still here 🙌

RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

"American history is a horror story. America's biggest power, their best superpower, is forgetting or pretending something didn't happen."

Just started The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by @sgj.bsky.social and I couldn't help but think about all the other books about buffalo, history, and the northern plains I'm constantly looking at. SGJ's prose is devastating & the plot is just as deadly.

Go read The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. Then pass it on. The only comparison I can make is with Blood Meridian - and TBHH is better. Don’t let this one languish is the “genre fiction” backwater. It’s too good, and too important. 💙📚 #SGJ #booksky
