I hope this Q is just my ignorance of legislative process but are all the politicians saying “we must denounce this” solely because there’s nothing else to be done? While I understand the need to do so to make sure the rest of the world knows, *words* do nothing. Is there truly no recourse?

The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

Clearly, I need to learn more about the algo here. I keep seeing posts for trrpg/rpg, crochet, & Pokémon. None are remotely of interest so I guess I need to initiate some searches for things like “writers” and “maga is evil” and “patriarchy smashing for fun and profit”
