Devastating.

Implying Black, male, disabled, and young children (the populations disproportionate discipline data prove to be vulnerable to adult’s exclusionary practices) are “students who should have been suspended or expelled” is repulsive and racist. Changing this accountability sucks.

A teacher in Idaho has been told to remove posters reading "Everyone is welcome here" - specifically because it features different skin tones. As I wrote last week, this is a global political movement that has explicitly set the goal of eradicating the very concept of equality.

Sarah Inama said she was told by administrators that her signs “don’t allow people to express differing opinions.”

The public really needs to understand this. Every university system in the world rests on public funding, there has never been an alternative model at any time in history.

We have universities for literally the same reason that we have roads and armies.
I don't disagree that the US university business model was/is fragile, but surely not for this reason?

There is no society in the history of humanity that has successfully built a good university system without massive govt subsidies. US had already pushed the idea very far.

When you tell someone, 'if you call this person a girl, you're a sex offender', you further confirm the accusation that you want LGBTQ+ people AND their allies registered as sex offenders.

Are you connecting the dots yet?

The National Science Foundation cancelled over 60 grant review panels today, effectively grinding funding of new projects to a halt.

The so-far indefinite pause comes as NSF grapples with the impact Trump's executive orders will have on their grantmaking process.
