If Alex from Bournemouth who was just on @simonmarksfsn.bsky.social show on @lbc.co.uk is reading this, he's an absolute hero and articulated that point perfectly. I was debating phoning in myself after some of the calls on @tomswarbrick.bsky.social show around PIP, but he said it all, thank you!

@nickferrarilbc.bsky.social @tomswarbrick.bsky.social Sadly I was driving during both your shows so couldn't call in, but wanted to add about learning English. This is a short film I made about it ten years ago.

If, like me, you find Christmas brings with it too many expectations, complex family situations and you struggle with switching off work, there's some great tips in Jim's Sunday supplement.
Christmas is nearly upon us. And it really can feel like it’s upon us, can’t it? Upon us like a sleeping labrador. It might appear lovely and harmless, but we can’t move for the weight of it.

This week’s Sunday Supplement is a selection of links and recommendations to help lift that weight a little

Is anyone doing anything around trying to hold Meta to account for its failed reporting service?

Having got used tomit saying racist posts etc are OK I reported one blatantly impersonating my friend as a scam. Apparently it doesn't go against their standards, no room for appeal.

Great work by Pennine Academies and Westmill, but why in 2024 are families across an entire trust needing food parcels at Christmas? Change needs to be quicker.

It was once a Twitter tradition that I post this song every 6th December, in memory of me bringing a copy to school and the whole German class having to perform it in assembly. So I'll revive on Bluesky.

Happy St Nikolas day everyone! Sorry to the Lord Silkin class of 95!

I'm a big fan of Tommy Banks and an even bigger fan of pies. I hope his appeal works and his delicious food does not go to waste or to fund a criminal.
🥧🚚 Some scumbag has stolen a van from Tommy Banks – Michelin-stared chef and one of the good guys.

Crucially, it contains £25k of meat pies in the back. He’s made an appeal on Insta for the thieves to at least donate the pies to a food bank to stop them going to waste.

Absolutely loving the new @lidluk.bsky.social vegan range. Exceptionally close in taste and quality to their branded counterparts, half the price. Their 'fish' fingers are better than the alternatives. Hope they keep them.

We need to find a way of keeping debate on @bsky.app constructive. Just reading some tweets from @channel4news.bsky.social on The Middle East and CoE abuse and disturbed to see criticism that they spoke to an Israeli spokesperson at all and that they spoke to Nadine Dorris, a CoE abuse survivor.

This is beyond comprehension. Children tortured and kept in cages in our schools. It's the extreme end of a system that puts pupils with ADHD in detention for talking in class or in seclusion for the wrong haircut. Care and compassion needs to be back in the narrative.

Most 'information reports', which schools must publish to tell parents about the SEND support they offer, are harder to read than Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time, a study suggests

Useful points for #schoolgovernors. Worth thinking about EHCPs and what you know about the law. Should your school be pushing for more funding to fully fulfil needs?
