A very charming enticing 1st page. I'm not sure why I didn't read this 30 yrs ago, I read the author's previous & subsequent novels. I may have had a copy at one time but today it slipped into my hand in the used bookshop.
I'll tell you what it is later, for now I want you to react to that opening.

In my late 20s I was on a TV Quiz, during playback I saw how bald I was becoming. It was only a year or so later I shaved completely for the first time.

Mention elsewhere of Shoegaze reminded me of this photo I took of a band called Fever Dream at Fell Foot Woods about 15 years ago. My camera popped up an alert saying "blink detected" on this shot.

The football team i play with is all gender, all ages, multinational, and very much mixed ability. The FA don't allow us in anything they control, but we exist, we play, we have fun.
