I’ve said this before somewhere, but there really is nothing like getting books in the mail that you forgot you ordered. It’s like a little surprise gift form yourself. You’re so thoughtful, Me.

When the government can step in and order strikers back to work, I question if both sides were truly at an impasse, or if the employer was just waiting out the clock.

Years ago I ordered a used copy of Milton Acorn’s I’ve Tasted My Blood because the description included the line “personal note from suitor to woman of his affection written on half title page, else clean.”
Some will tell you not to write in or deface your books, as it might lower their resale value. These people are idiots and charlatans. I love buying used book that someone's grandma dedicated to them as Christmas presents in 1958.
Also, books should never be resold, only relentlessly acquired.
