The delay of so many local elections is a disgraceful stitch-up between Labour and the Conservatives.

Where elections are still happening, the Liberal Democrats will campaign hard to build on last year’s historic election wins and give communities the strong voice they deserve.

An absolute pleasure to be at the meeting of Ovington Parish Council this evening.
Village issues being discussed and considered by such a nice team of committed local volunteer representatives.
Thank you for making me so welcome and I look forward to the next one 😊

The cold weather is only exacerbating the problem we have with the state of the roads around Stocksfield and Bywell and proper investment is needed as soon as possible.
Lack of proper care and investment is not only problematic for drivers, it’s dangerous for them and pedestrians too!

We can't let British democracy turn into a plaything for overseas billionaires with short attention spans.

At PMQs, I urged the Prime Minister to work with us to make sure power always sits with the voters, not wealthy foreign oligarchs.

Patients and staff are being hit with a one billion bombshell of hospital car parking charges. This is an unfair tax on the sick and hard-working NHS staff and it has to stop.

It cannot be right that nurses have to pay through the nose to go to work or that patients are subjected to sky-high fees.

Enough is enough.

This further price rise cannot go ahead. As we enter another cold and difficult winter, many people simply can’t afford to see their heating bills go up yet again.

If true, this suggestion that Labour MPs have been told not to table any amendments to Bills is both concerning and stupid.

Up bright and early (the same can’t be said of the weather) to see the fifth dentist in a row. Hopefully, today will be the day when I can finally say goodbye to this wisdom tooth 🦷 Stubborn item it’s turned out to be!

Very sad to hear that we have lost Ken Cope. A very talented actor. Sympathies to his wife Rennie and equally talented daughter Martha with whom I had the pleasure of working in Doctor Who for Big Finish. And to his son Nick whose delightful TV shows entertain my grandchildren constantly.

🧵 A reasonable chance that today's speech on the NHS is the most important for the Government intervention so far? Why. Because reducing waiting lists is the top issue by which people say they will judge the success of the Labour administration.
