Congress needs to act immediately during this recess to amend the Insurrection Act to prevent this illegitimate use of the US military on American soil to build internment camps and round up without due process whomever the new regime designates as personal non grata. This is outrageous.

We must reject politicians—and their consultants— who have no core values and who are willing to throw victimized people under the bus. Every so often we need to dust the cobwebs off Niemöller's poem, “First They Came.” It’s resonant once again in the United States of America.
It's not just magical thinking. It's mean thinking. We need to continue to stand up for human and civil rights. Only one party does.
