It occurs to me, after reading posts getting it spectacularly wrong, that there are a lot of misconceptions over how game studios organize and, in particular, who makes the actual decisions about what ends up in your game. Getting a good photo of the Dragon Age poster that BioWare hired me to make was difficult but trust me, it’s beautiful in person! I was only given 15 and these sold out on Patreon immediately (sorrysorrysorry)

-talks about how the art and magic of games comes from the creatives and devs
-denounces the games made for quotas and in boardrooms
-takes a shot at TGA about giving proper airtime to creatives
-doesnt name drop any celebs

In the meantime, I do want to talk about a couple of things I saw floating around regarding Emmrich:

Three character writing notes for Dragon Age Day:

1) Taash never uses commas. (In dialogue or in codex entries that they've written, unless quoting someone else.)

2) In Veilguard, Solas never gives direct orders. (Barring maybe "think" or "remember".)

3) Elgar'nan never asks questions.

I started playing Veilguard so I want to talk about one my favorite parts from my time working on it & something I regret not getting to see through to the end.
