As someone who worked in the legal field, this is a case to follow. Because it could make or break our entire copyright system. The judge(s) involved will have to chose their wording carefully.

And just a reminder that our copyright system is as strict as it is now because of Disney. Js
Finally, some good fucking news.

The largest class action suit ever certified might just ruin an industry built on stealing the intellectual property of our entire civilization.

Sounds good to me. How can I help?

We did it! My dad and I completed the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route, 586 miles of dirt. When so we get to do it again? #WABDR #dirtbike #dualsport #adv #bdr

My dad and I are doing the WA BDR and I’m the only woman in a crew of retired dads. Honestly I’m thriving.

Microsoft is about to lay off another 9,000 workers.

This news follows two waves of layoffs in May and June, where Microsoft fired more than 6,000 employees.

The company made $88 billion in profits last year.

I get so salty and dramatic when my dog decides not to sleep in my bed with me. Like, it happens once every few months and every time it feels like a betrayal.

Fellow authors, I love you, and I know it feels like we don’t have a choice, but B&N and Am*zon both scheduled sales this week to preempt Independent Bookstore Day, a hugely vital source of income for indie bookstores. Please don’t promote their sales; please promote your local indie this week.

What sucks is that if things keep going the way they are with no checks and balances, it will cost millions of lives.

And if by some miracle some of our checks and balances prevent the worst case scenario, liberals will decide the system is perfect and doesn’t need to change at all.

If you see this, quote it with what you’re reading this weekend!

I’m working through the audiobook of ‘The CIA as Organized Crime’ by Douglas Valentine. Then I’m taking a break from the intensity and rereading my fave smut
If you see this, quote it with what you’re reading this weekend!

I’m powering through the last third of R.F. Kuang’s Babel on audiobook before helplessly staring at my Storygraph and then probably just closing my eyes and pointing at something on my TBR
If you see this, quote it with what you're reading this weekend!

I'm reading an Ellis Peters Brother Cadfael mystery, THE PILGRIM OF HATE.

it’s still socially and politically very popular and easy to stand with Ukraine. if you secretly support Palestine but feel like you can’t say it in public because your shitty Zionist friends will be mad, then your support of human rights is predicated on ease and your own comfort and uhhhh it sucks

There are two wolves inside me.

One desires order and structure and clear expectations.

The other is actually just a feral raccoon intent on causing chaos *for the dopamine*

I’m going to write at least (1) romance story where the love interest has an ‘undesirable’ job. Time to romanticize the frontline workers.

This is brought to you by my ponderings on the lives of garbage men. #garbageday #booktok #romance

Me, in a *panic*: but how DOES the internet work?!

Also me, a prisoner in my own mind: oh good, she’s stoned again. Give her a bit more and maybe we’ll finally get some peace and quiet.
