Zohran Mamdani walked into the Oval Office with strength, without betraying his own values or beliefs, and had trump eating out of his hand, defending and praising him, even saying it's OK to call him a fascist.

Gave up nothing.
Gained respect.

Absolute masterclass.

“It would be a senseless act of cruelty to kill the poor spider just because of my irrational fear,” Hapworth explained. “But obviously I’m not going anywhere near the horrible fucking thing.”
Autistic woman who won’t hurt spider gives it exclusive use of kitchen instead
An autistic woman has surrendered use of her kitchen after finding a spider on the linoleum floor, sources have revealed. Beth Hapworth, 32, reports that she was too frightened to move the spider…

Let’s just be honest. Trump wouldn’t be acting this way - using all the power he has to suppress the Epstein files - if this wasn’t the biggest scandal in presidential history.

I’m blown away. First listen and I’m in love. With so many layers I’ll be enjoying this one for some time 👏👏👏👏

“The sitting president of the United States is untethered from reality

Two unelected officials (Miller&Vought) are dismantling democracy and setting up an authoritarian gov.

The GOP, corporate media and billionaire donors are standing by to reap the profits”

We live pretty far from parks and most stores. The other day, I took my daughter to a cemetery to walk around. My family used to do this a lot, and I always loved it. I find them much more peaceful that most places, and the autist in me loves finding patterns and speculating. Anyone else?

Today I set 3 timers to prep me for an errand day with both kids. I have dinner planned, snacks packed, cold waters ready, earplugs in my pocket, phone charged, and I’m still anxious about leaving, making this post instead. Wish me luck today as I venture out and have many more transitions to come.

(1/2) Transitions can be really hard for me sometimes. You know that joke that millennials stay in their car for too long after getting home? That’s always been me. I have to finish the song and really motivate myself to move instead of taking a break there for a bit.

Here is my garden. I take photos almost daily so I can compare. I’ve decided to start sharing.

I wanted to share photos from my garden. I can’t plan for shit, so I just do what I can and see what sticks. I buy dollar tree seeds, clearance plants, or get some from trades when I germinate veggies seeds with my daughter to save money. It’s fun to see what we can create with a little intention.

It's #macromonday so here's a shot I took with the Laowa 24mm f/14 2X Macro Probe lens. It's a difficult lens to use handheld as it needs a lot of light but results can be fun.

My local social security office is on the list. They could downsize, 100% yes. But disappear? Musk has netted $17 billion so far from SpaceX deals. Maybe he should just take a little pay cut for the good of the country if that’s what he actually cares about.

I may be more of an observer, but I hope to also post my own thoughts and my most recent rabbit holes.

I enjoy exploring all ideas, even if I don’t know how I feel about it all yet. And I hope to see respectful discussions here from all sides. Time will tell, but I am hopeful!

I use social media for online community support and conversation. To learn new things and have constructive debates. To change opinions, others and my own. To laugh at funny counter culture memes or to make light of something heavy to make it more bearable.
