BBC news on tv and radio and its daily obsession with boats and asylum seekers are so irritating now. I just have to switch it off. The government should put a stop to this nonsense. There are hundreds of other things going on that actually have an impact on my life, why don't they report on those?

I've seen a few examples lately of people commenting on mail, telegraph & times stories that are lies. This just helps to spread the lies further. Please consider the source, the agenda of that source and the likelihood that the story is a lie before commenting.

Agree with Dale, if we don't do this democracy (as we know it) will be destroyed by ever increasing donations leading to greater influence from people working for their own agenda, not for the people of the UK.
Democracy is under threat. We need public funding of our politics. Take the donors out of politics. Remove the influence and the suspicion of influence and restore faith.

Why is a shooting in New York the no.1 story on bbc news? The bbc is obsessed with news from the USA. It's not hard to see there is far more important news to cover from UK or most of the rest of the world come to think about it! Don't lead with USA news that has no impact on the rest of the world!

This day has been coming to stfc for a few seasons now. I've been trying to tell myself I wouldn't care by now but after being a supporter for 50 years it's just not possible not to care. Thanks Clem.
