I have a homebrew setting that I really like and played a long unfinished campaign for during the pandemic. But the more I revisit the setting, the more I think I'd like to write a proper novel about it.
But there's a few derivative ideas in it that i liked, but when I realised I felt stupid.

This is a very good question. In the homebrew setting I did, I was aiming for some realism, so swords and armour would be expensive, and magic is a bit uncommon. I tried to say that the roads were pretty safe, but the further you get from towns and cities, the more outlaws or monsters you might find

What precautions would the average person have in your world?

Do people feel safe enough to not need any weapons or is the world just dangerous enough that they may keep a blade or gun on them for defense?
Perhaps children have whistles to call for aide?

Still have no WiFi at the new flat, so I'm resorting to reading the oldschool CYOA book I found while packing

Forgot why I'd kept this one in particular til I got to my favourite illustration in the whole book: The Door That Knocks You

Turned out delicious. I'm so happy with it.
Making a big vegan mac and cheese for Friendsgiving with an American friend and others. I have not made it in a while. I think I made the sauce too thin. I also kinda wish I'd done some veggies for it. But in fairness, if I'd done more things, I'd have messed up something.

We have some amazing authors leaving us at the end of the year. This is the last chance to grab some of these incredible titles and support them for the foreseeable future.

All books in our store are 25% with the code NORTHODOXMAS until the new year

OK so I didn't thoroughly read the module, Klarg is meant to flee once his wolf dies. Oops.
Second session of Lost Mines of Phandelver, the group was thrashed by Klarg, the Cragmaw leader. TPK in the first hour.

They were taken prisoner but the cleric failed their death saves, so they got turned into goblin supper.

They convinced Yeemick to rise up against Klarg. Klarg got couped. #rpg

Went to D&D early to do some prep. Forgot the module. I'm way too stressed out today. Probably shouldn't be GMing tbh

It's such a tough time to be an indie publisher.

This is completely devastating to the team and we're only trying to continue due to the amount of support we've had from people directly involved 🥲

We're so sorry we couldn't do everyone's books this coming year
🚨STATEMENT🚨

We know there have been rumours circulating and we've been investigating all avenues to continue in extremely difficult circumstances, both industry-wise and within the team.

The support from our readers and writers means the world to us.

I have this idea for an evil D&D campaign. The group starts as the kind of bandits that raid caravans at the start of a low-level campaign hired by some mini-boss type. Then, doing more and more missions for the baddies, sometimes replacing them in the hierarchy of bad guys.

I can not fathom being this much of a loser.

Imagine coding this. Imagine the tiny dick energy that went into making a little puppet go around and tell people that you're the coolest guy in the world and you're stronger than professional athletes.

Someone wedgie this fucking geek.
grok has been extremely touched on

You know what would be an absolutely terrifying D&D encounter? A giant pelican. It's like a Rok but instead of grabbing you in its talons it just swallows you whole, potentially the whole party. #DnD #TTRPG

After thrashing the Siren on Darkest Dungeon, the Plague Master acquired "Love Interest". He already had "Deviant Tastes".

Do you feel that there has been a shift in table etiquette/behavior as time has gone by, in particular with games moving to digital spaces?

Yes or no explain your thoughts on it

(don't forget sharing really helps with these things)
an elderly woman is sitting in a chair and says if not for etiquette sake then for me then .

I have a feeling that the reason LLMs are being pushed so much in artistic spaces is not so much for any utility in that area but rather to convince potential investors of its utility in more boring areas like database management.

The use of it by companies for art is just a byproduct of this push

Darkest Dungeon just really cheesed my nips. I enter the dungeon of the swine king. Maxed out party, full inventory. I find a quick route to the room where he's at. I take a rest for the stat buffs and to heal the minor damage from the last encounter.

Ambush. Spiders kill my vestal. ONE ROOM AWAY!

I keep having these weird unpleasant dreams where I find myself back at school being berated by a teacher until I yell at them because I realise I'm 33 and I don't have to take this shit from them.

Cool so if you apply to a job with Costa you have to go through an AI interview. Cool cool FUCK OFF!

Every now and then I have a glance back and twitter and it's just obnoxiously stupid, not even offensive just dumb. Facebook I find far more offensive, there's something so gross and personal about all these 60 year olds calling for expulsions or worse of migrants.

I'm so tired, I spent all weekend volunteering, doing my TA course this morning. Wanna go home for nerd stuff.

So I'm trying to run Lost Mines of Phandelver.

My biggest weakness as a GM is my forgetfulness. I routinely forget stats and powers and rules.

Regardless, session went well. I'll just prep better next time

So I was shopping around for a dragonborn mini for a 5e game, just something for the players and for the life of me I couldn't find one in any shops. For some reason they had a healthy stock of Gas Spore minis

So I got a working doorbell, and I ran downstairs to get my package, couldn't have been more than 2 minutes. The postie has already binned my package and is heading off.

MF I ran hot food out to your picket lines at 8AM the least you can do is wait to see if the top floor flat will answer.
