Honestly, I think it's about provoking reaction. The gayer and cottage corer the more frothing from reactionary dipshits, they get more entrenched in anti-5e rhetoric, and any defence comes across as painting WotC as some kind of trailblazer for representation and the safest space for queer gamers.

Yknow it is probably worth thinking about how actual bandits worked. Because historically, they don't just show up. Weapons, armour, and horses these are expensive, so the people most likely to turn into bandits were soldiers and mercenaries.
Also worth thinking about how predators acted around us.

I think one thing that's perhaps obvious is that for bandits, they won't be attacking random travellers. It's not worth the risk. They're targeting traders.
But for monsters (predators) they will probably attack small groups or a single person.

Not that I would novelise my rpg sessions. That is obviously crass behaviour.

But I think maybe the setting is a bit too gamey for a novel. Also, so many changes would need to happen. I ripped off so much D&D and didn't realise.

It's maybe silly to get so self-conscious, but you see people in rpg circles saying "just write a novel if you're that obsessed" which sorta signals that it's no good for rpgs anymore.
Then publishers say "don't send us your rpg sessions" which sorta says it's no good for novels either.

I get rolling your eyes at it, but getting angry just seems daft.

I mean, if they were converting all future games, sure, but they aren't.

Is this modern?

Nutritional yeast, it's flakes of yeast extract. Has a nutty cheesy taste to it. Good as a topping.

I am very peckish, I haven't eaten since lunchtime, and I'm down a pint of blood from donating.

That breadcrumb topping looks good as hell rn. Must resist.

The sauce does have a good flavour. It's all about the yeast and mustard. Nutritional yeast, marmite (or equivalent), and English mustard. Mix that into the sauce, and it turns out lovely. Lots of nooch. That's what you really need.

So... they rescue you, but it causes the eclipse?

The classic is still She's All That.

Urgh... glasses!

In my defence, that is dumb

I think what Ron does hit on, is that when people are searching for rules lite or rules heavy, they MIGHT actually be searching for more/less rules for something particular, or a more engaging rule.

Like, maybe they have to escape enemies but are carrying a big sack of money. Or they're carrying some plot important heavy object quickly, and they need to ditch a cool weapon.

Not to bore you with video game examples again, but I get a lot of fun managing the inventory of Darkest Dungeon.
