I've decided that the funniest piece of information to come out of the reveal is the Toei producer saying that these girls will do an unprecedented amount of thinking for Precure. Which yeah, detectives, but it sounds like hilarious slander on 22 years' worth of magical girls

✔️ Fun premise, unexpected wrinkle to it with the slight timeskip angle on top of the detective motif
✔️ Yano's designs are adorable. Their kinda nostalgic feel doesn't quite overlap with the era they go back to (early 10s-ish stylizations vs 1999 timeslip) but who cares. Good!

Reading all the info on Star Detective/Meitantei Precure has me veeeeeeeeery interested.
The plot is intriquing, and the character designs are a bit over the place for my tastes, but still somewhat unique. Think there's room for mid-season cure, or it's similar to WonderPre where we know them.

I can understand the fans criticizing #anipoke for waiting nearly two years to do an episode based on this DLC but I personally *like* the fact this show's allowed to go at its own pace these days. It's so much better than having to stop everything to cram in elements in an effort to be "current."
