This is the best idea I have come across in years!
@savethecbc.bsky.social I have an idea! Let’s convince the top folks at the CBC to hire @stephencolbert.bsky.social and we Canadians host this tremendous talent on our own public broadcaster.
Wouldn’t that be the sweetest thing to see? 🤨

My late mother ate pickled pigs feet. A prairie girl from a German/Hungarian background her family ate any number of interesting foods. Think tongue sandwiches or green onion sandwiches.
Great to be back in Alabama.

The New Democrats held onto their two seats in Edmonton by-elections. Pundits and pollsters were saying the United Conservatives had a shot at one of the two seats. No. The NDP won both handily.

There is no such category as an anti-vax Christian. It is the opposite of Christianity to deny life saving vaccines. These people are members of an Internet cult.

#Alberta is the leading jurisdiction in North America for....measles!

Making a comeback b/c of anti-vaxx Christians.

If this was a Black or brown community, the comments would be, "Christian fundamentalists are unclean, uneducated, don't uphold Canadian values, & need to be sent back to Germany."

I use dish soap for most cleaning. But in this case sulfuric acid might be appropriate.
Donald Trump will be in Alberta, Canada later today for the G7.
Apropos of nothing, what should one use to disinfectant the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge?

A very sad day. Brian Wilson was, is, and always will be a big part of my musical life. God's speed Maestro!

This can't be real. It is insulting, ignorant and frightening.

Exactly.
In the months since I wrote this piece, I've been reflecting on the core of the modern separatist movement in Alberta.

I'm becoming more convinced that it's not a product of western alienation so much as an offshoot of far right politics.

Best golf partner I've had in years. A couple of loud growls and we just played through. Some difficulty in the clubhouse. The bar ran out of draft.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. took aim at reputed journals such as the Lancet and said the agency will create “in-house” publications instead.

The next NDP leader! McPherson represents an Alberta riding She is articulate. And she will be able to raise enough money to run a proper campaign
Today’s Throne Speech was historic — but that isn’t enough. Words won’t solve the housing crisis, protect seniors, or tackle the climate emergency. We need action. Canadians deserve a government that works for everyone — not just the wealthy few. #cdnpoli #ThroneSpeech2025

There are no words to express my disgust at this vicious attack. I cannot understand why anyone would do this.
Seething with rage. To those who spread hate to win points in your drummed-up-of-a-distraction culture war, this was always the well-foreseen end of your vile rootless obsession.

I am so sorry, Kady. We failed you.

This is correct. The Laurier Liberal government created Alberta. Alberta is not some millennial old kingdom established in the mists of time.
Separatist Albertans talk as if they carved Alberta out of an uninhabited wilderness, joined Confederation long ago & now have a perfect right to withdraw from Confederation. That is utter BS. Alberta was created by fiat of the Federal Government.

Good question. Manning and Smith seem to believe the "West" is Alberta and Saskatchewan. B.C. isn't part of their calculations.
Sitting here in Winnipeg, temporarily away from Saskatoon. Do you mind defining "prairies?" Is it rural Alberta and Saskatchewan?
