Watching LAD vs NYY & they keep running the catfishing Nana mattress commercial. It's disturbing in & of itself, but is made moreso by the fact that I used to play in a church handball choir with the actress.

My son is helping me clean the laundry room. Like, I moved the washer & dryer & he's back there clearing out junk & sweeping & mopping on the (absolutely true) premise that he's skinnier than I am.

My mother lives in a crappy town in AZ; today, she said she had been feeling sick lately. I asked why & got the long story of how she went to drop off some donations at church and was shot at while defending some kinds who were running from their mom's horrible boyfriend. The thing is, I know 1/2

I have a student who apparently makes her living doing "Get Ready With Me" TikTok videos, so she did one for her final project, in which she did her makeup & discussed the class, which she summed up: "10/10; would emotionally spiral again."

Today I taught a Ukrainian English teacher the phrase "play Devil's advocate."
This is the second most exciting thing I've done this week.
The most exciting? I came home on Monday w a migraine coming on, so I switched dinner nights with my husband, took a shower, took medicine, & slept for 11 hours.
