I taught comp at an AoG college, & between Aristotle & Toulmin, I made sure that my students wouldn't write like this. They also knew why they shouldn't. There are so many reasons why this is bad.

Yeah, it looks like she heard it was about bullying & gender identity & went off without actually reading the damn thing. Also, as I have had to explain to students over & over, you can't assume everyone makes the same assumptions you do. Doesn't anybody do Toulmin anymore?

I had a student once try to complain about me to the dean. He recorded the whole class as a gotcha. His recording proved my explanation. He dropped the class.

My mom kept her old hunting rifle (as a desert kid in the 50s, she'd hunted birds) in the rafters in the garage. I didn't even like to look at it.
