Ahem.
I, too, probably had cancer for a long time while it was quietly spreading and I appeared healthy. I found a lump 7 months after a clear mammogram and was diagnosed with stage 3B lobular breast cancer that likely had been growing for a long time.
I probably had had cancer for months, maybe years, and didn't know. While it was quietly spreading.
Some types of cancer have more symptoms than others, or you only develop symptoms after it has spread.
