Abandoned Twitter. I would say follow me for #kcbeer news, but we both know I'd be lying.
Bless you, whoever made this quiz. Though I'm topping out at 42/61. I am deeply disappointed in myself.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

if we take it to be true that the tariffs are aimed at getting americans to buy US-made products, then what's the point of rolling them back when they become painful? the entire point is to cause financial pain to change consumer behavior. what's the strategy here?

Granted, lots going on in the news. But the deal to end the shutdown includes a provision that would ban (close the loophole on) hemp-derived THC—a rather popular $30 billion industry—and the mainstream news outlets have barely caught a whiff of it.

Can't wait for the new UI. Well, I might have to wait since I can't close the alert box. I try to support local news, but sometimes it's hard.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.

Lynne Ahrens was a 22 year old guitar-playing secretary/copywriter at the advertising firm of McCaffrey & McCall when she was asked by producer George Newell if she’d like to contribute songs to the new Schoolhouse Rock project.

She wrote and sang “No More Kings.”

Think of her this weekend.

Annnd there it is.

They were gonna do this either way…which should put the screaming at Schumer to EITHER “keep it open!” OR “shut it down!” In perspective.
Mike Johnson on the shutdown: "It can provide an opportunity to downside the scope and scale of government, which is something that we've always wanted to do. So in a way Chuck Schumer has now handed the keys to the kingdom the executive branch under President Trump."
