Book 29 of 2025: The Chaos Machine by Max Fisher. We are all acutely aware of how companies like Meta and Twitter have actively contributed to the rampant spread of misinformation resulting in millions of deaths, this book has all the sordid details and it's like watching a car crash. 4/5 ⭐ #booksky

This probably isn’t the developers’ top priority (although it should be), but I’d love to see the Bluesky app have an option to switch to the Julian calendar for those of us who reject the lies of Pope Gregory XIII

Book 15 of 2025: Bunny by Mona Awad. A Girl Who Is Not Like Other Girls has an unsurprisingly difficult time fitting in with her grad school classmates when she preemptively decides that she hates them. Mona--who hurt you girl?? Creative, weird, a little cliche. 3.5/5 ⭐ #booksky

Book 13 of 2025: All Fours by Miranda July. I've read this book twice in three months. I'm hesitant to recommend it as I do not want anyone to know me as well as Miranda July knows me, which is ironic since the partial theme of this book is how unbearable it is to desire to be known. 5/5 ⭐ #booksky

One theory as to why hypovolemic POTS patients have a chronic sodium deficiency is that our kidneys get a little overexcited and expel too much sodium and water. I like to imagine my kidneys as hyperactive puppies that keep accidentally dumping the salt out of my body, calm down silly guys!

Book 10 of 2025: Co-intelligence by Ethan Mollick. This is a really well-written guide on utilizing generative AI safely and effectively, great intro book for someone who is new to using AI in their day-to-day. 5/5 ⭐ #booksky

I owe the government $100k in student loans for the privilege of being able to work on a Saturday morning, thanks feminism. I should be dying in childbirth right now like the good lord intended

Why do I stay fit? Because if I'm lucky, I'll have 30 more years of 3x p week frenetic flailing like a cheese-obsessed rat in a maze before I die (thrashing around on the treadmill for a sisyphean 40 minutes while sucking the dopamine-rich teat of a thousandth rewatch of Euphoria)

I'm sick of commodifying my virtual self, you'll just have to hire me sight unseen. Have this picture of a very small dog wearing a parka while napping in a very large dog bed instead; delightful!
