I will be lighting the candles, painting the sigils, drawing the salt circles... 2025 has been the year of "Fucking around" I am manifesting 2026 to be the year of "Finding out" for the shameless, the greedy, the dishonest, the callous.

I think there should be a law that as soon as you are sworn in as an elected official in any capacity in the U.S. you are not allowed to use ANY form of social media. You got elected, great! No more farming for likes or making cheap political dunks... put your phone away and do your fucking job.

At its heart, Star Trek is a utopian fantasy about a society so advanced that they are capable of holding productive meetings that last no longer than three minutes

Reflecting on a thought from a few years back:

"God I wish we could just move on from crypto / NFTs being the biggest tech fad"

I REALLY just wanna go to a flat earther convention and like; set up a debate between a disk-earther and a square-earther and just watch them duke it out as I ask unrelated questions like "Which continents are close to the edge?" "How thick is it?" "Do tornadoes wrap around like in Asteroids?"

Begging on my hands and knees for the day that modern video games move past this "temporal smearing" approach to rendering tech.

I gotta hold the camera still for 1-2 seconds to allow the TAA / RTGI / SSR to fully settle. I would much rather have fully rendered frames than noisy smeared garbage!

Yeah, I'm done with this company. (would've done this sooner, but things have been busy)

If anyone out there knows of any good resources for learning how to create good topology / edge-flow for a 3D sculpt, please bestow! I am searching far and wide and coming up with loads of "draw the rest of the owl"-type videos / images.

I am mainly struggling with connecting arms to shoulders.

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

Maybe it's just me, but I think multi-billion-dollar corporations shouldn't be allowed to settle a case with 1% their net worth the moment it doesn't seem to be going their way. Especially when a guilty verdict would have nearly put them out of business for *checks notes* "pirating 7 million books".
NEW YORK (AP) — Anthropic agrees to pay authors $3,000 per book in landmark settlement over pirated chatbot training material.
