It’s not on them to do so. It’s on the proponents of law change. I think a Royal commission would help in establishing the level of risk and what risk of state-endorsed wrongful death we’re comfortable with. For some that will be none.

The Supreme Court is today holding a hearing to decide what a woman is - in other words, whether "sex" in the Equality Act means biological sex or whether a man who identifies as female can opt into Equality Act protections normally reserved for females.
