This number is completely made up. There are not 30 million undocumented immigrants. The most recent estimates are around 14 million, of which roughly 8 million people have been here for over a decade.

Vance is not a fool. He knows this. DHS produces official estimates. They don’t say 30 million.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Trump's HUD is preparing to gut federal support for long-term housing programs.

The changes could put 170,000 formerly homeless people at risk of losing their housing — many of whom are disabled or over 50.

We absolutely need universal basic income as a secure floor below which no one can fall and everyone can build from. It should not be normalized for people to seek 2nd, 3rd, and 4th jobs in order to make enough money to survive or have a backup plan in case of unexpected job and income loss.
One feature of the collapse we are living through is that things poorer people have had to do are creeping up the income scale

They can spin it however but struggling to make ends meet with a hodge podge of sortof-jobs is both very normal and very bad

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.

Highly restricted access and no cell phones allowed.

White House officials needed to meet with Lauren Boebert in the room where highly sensitive National Security issues are handled? To talk about the Epstein Files?!
