everyone should listen to this in its entirety but journalists should listen to it multiple times. this is how you ask questions. you just keep asking simple, easily answerable stuff and the evasiveness becomes that much more glaring

Unless people choose to listen to them, or they can send somebody who will *make you* do what they say, a judge is just a person in a robe with opinions
A troubling thing I'm hearing from sources across federal agencies is that many depts are trying to comply with the federal funding freeze despite a judge blocking it. Saying things like, "maintaining alignment with administrative priorities," or "agencies may exercise their own authority" re: $$.
