There is a reason country music never really embraced The Dixie Chicks. Remember they wrote a song about a woman killing an abusive man. Remember “Goodbye Earl?” For all of Carrie Underwood’s fake feminist BS, The Chicks were really about that life. White women country fans couldn’t relate.
