The #1 reported reason people avoid doctor’s appointments is because they’re afraid of finding out they have a serious illness.

If you have that fear, that’s normal and you’re not alone. Also remember, there is basically no serious illness that isn’t less serious if you catch it sooner.

there are four teams (bills, ravens, lions, vikings) who are really good, really entertaining, have very compelling narratives, and would be exceptionally satisfying to see as super bowl champs. if the chiefs threepeat it will be more annoying and loathsome than anything the patriots ever did

I love looking at people’s personal libraries. Especially the books that people tell me they read over and over throughout their lives.

It’s like seeing the foundational texts of someone’s life, values and interests.

What are your personal foundational texts?

Soon I will have to say goodbye to this book that has been my companion and driving force for the last three years. Strange to imagine days without it, but it’s nearly time for it to no longer be mine so that it can become yours.

I sure hope you like it.

I think it’s the weather and probably the memetic contagion.

If you want to ensure Trump tries to run again in 2028, keep alive the prospect that he might be sent to jail after he leaves office.

Delaying sentencing until 2029 is a bad idea. Better to impose a sentence now that won't interfere w/ his presidential duties.
