"My daughters sketch monarchs, create stories. They drape their old baby blankets around their shoulders as wings. As they zoom past Mom, she can only reach out for them, her smile weak, her grasp left empty."

@rachelyoder.bsky.social This seems like the setting in which Nightbitch was meant to be watched (solo parenting, boogers in my hair, and too tired to clean up the toys again). I read your book in one sitting and cried. Your book and Paris Paloma’s “labour” made me feel seen. Thank you 🩵

The Dodgers played like shit today and still won. They are now 8-0.

This could be a problem for the league.
I said earlier today the dodgers haven't been playing that well but they're undefeated because their pitchers are striking everyone out.

Well, their fielders are bricking it today. It's quite windy in LA though so maybe they can put braves defenders in the salad spinner as well.

My sister has cystic fibrosis. Trikafta is adding decades to the life expectancies of the patients who can take it. #cysticfibrosis trials have made HUGE strides in recent years because of NIH funding, and pulling up the ladder is just straight-up evil

I’m sad to learn that my law school classmate, Kiah Duggins, died in the DC plane crash last night.

Kiah was an exceptionally talented civil rights lawyer and aspiring legal scholar.

I hope you’ll read about her work and the causes she cared about, some of which I’ll 🧵 below.

What an immense loss

Federal deregulation does not mean “I gain individual liberties.”

Federal deregulation means “the government will no longer maintain the safety of institutions that I depend on and take for granted.”

Clay updated their review database with the decisions for the nearly 50 objections filed last month.

Every single one of them was either restricted or removed.

These decisions were made without reading the books and without a public review committee.
