I'm not here to sell anything and please don't follow me if that's ALL you're here for. Also, I don't always follow back (esp. if your timeline mainly contains the same political stuff I'm already getting lots of).
First time I've tried filled pasta without any sauce. Happy to report.... lovely ..... And delicious with brussels

Can't help but wonder on the verge of which roundabout in Stevenage lie the Crocs-cum-slippers that I bought last weekend for my brother and presumably left on top of the car when I drove away from the garden centre.

Novel that was a comfort

Lissa Evans - Small Bomb at Dimperley. Read this while waiting for a CT scan, having been told in an offhand way that I had a gynaecological mass that was probably cancer. I had to wait hours in A&E for the scan. Anyway, the book is lovely. 5/?

Seeing quite a few instances of customer service teams replying to complaint posts saying "we're having trouble responding to messages via social media at the moment. Please DM us via another route".

Itchy chin... Poor service being highlighted a bit too publicly, eh?

Time to buy a new calendar.

The standard hearing test that you get in an ENT appointment is the aural equivalent of checking someone's muscle tone loss by asking them whether they can push over a Jenga tower.

I'm listening to The Sittaford Mystery on Radio 4 Extra. It's rather disconcerting to have John Moffatt play a character in a Christie thriller that *isn't* Hercule Poirot.

Still more than stands up. Hilarious ending.
With an unmistakable Patricia Routledge giving an early outing of her Hyacinth Bucket "astonished face".
The Two Ronnies (17th December 1983). Hercule Poirot pays a visit to the palatial country estate at Nags Bottom.

The tone of Say Nothing flops around quite a lot. But it's a life story, so that's a fair reflection. Was not prepared for how moving the prison scenes were though (and how informative).
