Lovely walk in Kent today (Holly Hill & Coldrum Long Barrow) after dropping the 15yo at Folkestone for an Armistice Day trip to Belgium with Air Cadets. Started in fog, finished in sunshine. There may have been hills!

Contrary to popular belief, she was a huge part of what really was a team effort, but she should have had way bigger acknowledgement of the part she'd played. I wonder if her legacy would have been different if she hadn't died so tragically young?

I genuinely wonder how people with long nails function. I find it difficult enough dealing with my contact lenses with my very short stubby nails!

31min pacer at @oakhillparkrun.bsky.social this morning. Difficult job at the best of times, let alone on the hilly B Course. Either managed my best pacing ever, or missed by a few secs, depending on how promptly I started my watch and whether there were funnel duckers. Time will tell! #loveparkrun

I got this for my 9th birthday, and read it over and over again. My uncle was great at finding entertaining yet educational presents. (John Lloyd also discusses the influence this book had on him and in the evolution of #Blackadder.)
